Welcome to a journey of practical learning!

Hello, it's great to have you here :)
It means you're considering working for yourself – and being the best you can be at it.

We're grateful you've chosen our course to guide that you through that freelancer journey, so we promise this – if your intention is strong to make things happen, and you complete this course, you will establish yourself as a Freelancer dramatically sooner and more effectively.

HOW THIS COURSE WILL WORK

This course is designed to prepare two types of people:

1) people that want to become Freelancers
2) people looking to upgrade their Freelance careers

Currently the only Freelancer courses out there are extremely brief, especially when compared with the rigour and length of the entrepreneurship courses out there. Which means Freelancers right now either do one of those courses and then go on their journey to establishing themselves underprepared – or they jump straight in with no preparation.

That's why we've designed this course. We've drawn on the best thinkers and doers of the Freelance and entrepreneurial world, taking what we believe are their most powerful teachings. And then we've presented them here in a coherent narrative; from finding your niche to cultivate to managing your time.

In particular we'll pay attention to Seth Godin's very short, but fantastic, Freelancer course; he gives motivational and insightful talks in that course on some of the more general areas of Freelancing, before our lectures go more specific.

Along the way, we'll also bring in psychology and philosophy perspectives, forcing you to ask the hard questions that will get you the personal development needed for you to consciously shape your Freelancer journey.

Here's a breakdown of the chapters:

1) Why are you going freelance?
2) Choose your vertical
3) Be remarkable to a few
4) Tell your story
5) Create your website
6) Grow your online presence
7) Getting Clients
8) Make yourself productive
9) Wrapping Up

In each section we've handpicked readings, podcasts and videos for you to learn from. There are also short online courses by other providers that we'll share, from the Skillshare platform, and Seth Godin on Udemy.

Every section ends has assignments for you to do, and "quick questions". Don't move onto the next section until you've done them – there are no "hacks" to becoming good at something.

This course is designed to be practical, and requires taking action in the real-world alongside working through it's content.
